Calliope
Calliope was one of the nine mythological Greek muses, the one with the beautiful voice.
Calliope’s mission is to play music in the best possible way in its compact floorstanding size.
We started developing new specific AudioBarletta drivers for the bass and midrange frequencies.
The gorgeous high frequency unit is the same as in Orfeo, using a 29 hand-coated Mueller membrane and all the knowledge we have, for the reproduction of this sensitive music spectrum: a rear labyrinth working chamber, heavy damping of rear radiation, shortcircuiting copper rings for minimal distortion, flat aluminium wire and the most powerful magnetic motor available on the market.
The medium frequency unit has been engineered using a thin and stiff cellulose membrane with integrated polymeric phase plug.
The membrane is hand-coated. The suspension is almost flat for minimal interference to the direct radiation.
This very light membrane is driven by an extremely powerful neodymium magnet, equipped with copper short-circuiting rings.
Orfeo
25 years of audio engineering experience concentrated in a two-ways reference speaker of world quality.
Music colours, naturalness, coherence, dynamics, low distortion: all at record levels. To achieve these results, we used the long experience of cooperation with the Scandinavian manufacturers of speakers and we started to produce our own unique brand AudioBarletta that surpass Scandinavian performances. We draw mechanical parts, selected membranes, impregnation, materials and shapes to meet our dream of perfect music reproduction. “Corpus” of Orfeo s made only from selected Italian walnut: no artificial materials. Corpus must “mature” three weeks to be able to be milled and finished. Crossover is composed of the best parts available in the world. The choice of these components was mainly influenced by their music quality. Crossover uses our original system “Fase Zero” for perfect phase coherence response.
Orfeo will change the quality parameters not only in his price range, worldwide.
