Aries Cerat — Phono Stages

Kirke

A redefinition of analogue playback featuring proprietary TriodeFet amplification technology.

Extracting delicate micro-volt signals from a vinyl groove requires amplification of extreme precision. The Kirke was designed to address this exact challenge, building upon the foundations of Aries Cerat’s formidable Talos Series while introducing proprietary Ianus Series advancements. It is an uncompromised, dual-chassis instrument engineered to retrieve the maximum possible information from a vinyl collection without masking the original performance. Positioned alongside the brand's most ambitious reference components, the Kirke utilises a proprietary differential tube input stage paired with a constant-impedance Double-T LCR RIAA filter. What truly separates it from traditional designs is the implementation of a Gen2 TriodeFet output stage. Possessing a remarkably low one-ohm output impedance, this final stage operates with the authority of a small power amplifier, ensuring the preceding circuits' transparency is delivered to the preamplifier entirely unhindered. The resulting sonic presentation is defined by its astonishing quietness and absolute control. By relocating all power supplies into a dedicated secondary enclosure and utilising true differential amplification to cancel common-mode noise, the Kirke establishes an exceptionally silent background. This allows the natural harmonics, spatial scale, and transient speed of analogue recordings to emerge with striking physical weight and realism.

Key Features

01

Gen2 TriodeFet Output Stage

Utilises an ultra-wide bandwidth, single-ended TriodeFet circuit with a one-ohm output impedance, ensuring absolute signal transparency and unmatched dynamic delivery.

02

Proprietary Differential Input

Employs two independent E280F tube stages per channel on vibration isolation sockets, loaded with fully balanced MU and permalloy core transformers to cancel common-mode noise.

03

Constant-Impedance LCR RIAA

Features finely tuned Double-T LCR filters driven by a dedicated single-ended triode miniature amplifier for exceptionally transparent and accurate equalisation.

04

Bespoke External Loading

Avoids the compromises of internal presets by using custom, made-to-order external loading modules perfectly tailored to the listener's cartridge portfolio.

05

Isolated Power Architecture

Banishes all power supplies to a matching secondary chassis, while local capacitor banks in the main unit provide immediate, silent decoupling for the delicate gain stages.

Design & Philosophy

Chapter 01

Design & Philosophy

The Kirke bridges two distinct eras of Aries Cerat engineering. It takes the highly evolved, low-noise input and equalisation stages of the flagship Talos series and marries them to the proprietary TriodeFet technology developed for the Ianus series. This hybrid philosophy completely removes the traditional output buffer bottleneck, creating a perfectly unhindered pathway for the delicate phono signal.
Amplification Architecture

Chapter 02

Amplification Architecture

The phono stage is divided into highly specialised sub-systems. The crucial input stage amplifies the cartridge signal whilst heavily rejecting electro-mechanical noise through true differential operation. This feeds the constant-impedance LCR RIAA network, before passing to the TriodeFet output stage. Remarkably, this final stage is as potent as a small speaker amplifier, effortlessly driving any downstream preamplifier component.
Sonic Presentation

Chapter 03

Sonic Presentation

Listeners can expect a profoundly quiet background from the Kirke, a direct result of its dual-chassis isolation and common-mode noise rejection. From this silence, music emerges with an immense soundstage width and physical weight. It presents the true harmonic structure and microscopic textures of a recording with unyielding authority and a continuous, liquid flow.
