The Ianus Ageto represents a fundamental breakthrough in preamplifier architecture, pushing the boundaries of Aries Cerat's acclaimed Inverted Triode technology into its third generation. Developed as the ideal counterpart to the majestic Ianus TriodeFet power amplifiers, this dual-chassis instrument completely reimagines the active gain stage and its supporting power infrastructure. Inside the audio chassis, conventional tube topology is abandoned. The Generation 3 Inverted Triode operates with a wire-grid anode and an enveloping plate-like control grid. This creates an intense negative electrical field that pushes electrons away from the anode, functioning less like a traditional gain valve and more like a virtual vacuum-state step-down transformer. This is paired with an uncompromising multi-tap transformer volume control, switched seamlessly by latching relays to prevent any signal contamination. To achieve its record-setting noise floor, the Ageto treats the power supply as an entirely separate entity. The secondary chassis houses a true dual-mono power architecture, isolating the massive mains transformers and the complex choke-filter networks from the highly sensitive nano-crystalline signal transformers. Sonically, this grants the Ageto unparalleled transparency and dynamic freedom. The Ageto evolves the brand's proprietary technology into its most refined iteration yet. Inside a traditional vacuum tube, an electron stream is impeded by a wire grid. The Generation 3 Inverted Triode reverses this entirely, accelerating electrons toward a wire-grid anode while an enveloping plate structure pushes them away. This radical topology yields a completely different operating principle, acting as a virtual transformer to massively increase bandwidth while eliminating common tube distortions.
