The Karuna is built on the reality that digital audio reproduction is intensely sensitive to high-frequency noise and temporal misalignment. Traditional USB interfaces carry significant computing noise along with the audio signal, which introduces clock jitter and degrades the performance of downstream DACs. Core Audio bypasses this limitation entirely by treating the incoming data as raw material, scrubbing it of electrical noise, and reconstructing the timing using precise internal oscillators.
