Concero 25
A reference directly heated single-ended monoblock amplifier of uncompromising purity.
Key Features
01
Directly Heated Driver Stage
Instead of standard small-signal valves, an RCA 814 directly heated pentode acts as a dedicated single-ended amplifier to drive the 845 output tube. This provides immense current swing and eliminates driver compression during demanding musical transients.
02
Transformer-Coupled Signal Path
The driver tube is coupled to the grid of the output stage via an ultra-wide-bandwidth inter-stage transformer. This complete absence of resistive-capacitive coupling preserves signal phase, transient speed, and overall harmonic integrity.
03
Oversized Output Magnetics
The custom output transformer weighs more than many complete single-ended amplifiers and can absorb 60 watts at 20 hertz without core saturation. This ensures distortion-free bass extension and effortless handling of complex orchestral loads.
04
Triple-Filtered Filament Supplies
Because directly heated filaments form part of the signal loop, they are fed with triple-filtered direct current using sophisticated pi-section networks. This architecture reduces hum and electrical noise to virtually unmeasurable levels.
05
On-the-Fly Bias Adjustment
Both driver and output stage biasing can be monitored via built-in digital displays and adjusted in real time using dedicated controls. This allows the listener to precisely fine-tune the amplifier's operating parameters even whilst music is playing.
06
Massive Power Architecture
Each monoblock features dual toroidal transformers rated at over 900VA, feeding independent ground-choke filtered supplies for the driver, output, filament, and bias circuits with energy banks exceeding 4,000 joules per channel.
