Kassandra Signature

The ultimate evolution of pure resistor ladder digital-to-analogue conversion.

Digital audio often struggles to shed its mechanical origins, but the Kassandra Signature transforms data into living, breathing music. As the definitive two-chassis statement in the Kassandra line, it refines the purest method of conversion: the non-oversampling resistor ladder. This purist approach demands extreme physical precision, relying on perfectly matched hardware rather than mathematical manipulation to decode the signal. At its core lies a staggering array of twenty premium Analogue Devices converters per channel, operating in strict parallel. This massive configuration naturally cancels out microscopic deviations, dramatically lowering the noise floor and improving dynamic contrast. By avoiding upsampling entirely, the digital section preserves the original timing of the recording, eliminating the smearing and ringing artefacts commonly associated with standard digital filters. The analogue output operates as a high-end, single-ended triode amplifier built directly into the unit. Utilising an exceptional super-tube loaded with a bespoke step-down transformer, the gain stage delivers massive voltage swing with vanishingly low output impedance. Supported by an external power supply featuring xenon gas rectifiers and enormous capacitive reserves, the Kassandra Signature renders music with breathtaking scale, harmonic density, and organic flow.

Key Features

01

Massive Converter Array

Utilises twenty premium converters per channel in parallel, naturally cancelling resistor deviations for absolute linearity.

02

Super-Tube Output Stage

Features a single-ended gain stage driven by E280F triodes and custom step-down transformers, mirroring the brand reference amplifiers.

03

Transformer Conversion

Employs bespoke wideband transformers to convert current to voltage, entirely bypassing the sonic bottlenecks of operational amplifiers.

04

Twin-Chassis Power Supply

Isolates the delicate digital circuitry from power interference using a dedicated chassis with xenon gas rectification and enormous capacitive reserves.

The Resistor Ladder Philosophy

Chapter 01

The Resistor Ladder Philosophy

The Kassandra Signature is built upon a pure resistor-ladder architecture, completely bypassing the digital filters, oversampling algorithms, and noise-shaping found in modern delta-sigma designs. By avoiding data manipulation, it prevents the introduction of high-frequency noise and phase anomalies that often cause listening fatigue. This non-oversampling approach preserves the absolute timing of the original file, resulting in a presentation that feels immediately physical and authentic.
Analogue Engineering

Chapter 02

Analogue Engineering

Treating the analogue stage with the same reverence as their standalone components, Aries Cerat has integrated a complete single-ended triode output section. The E280F super-tube, chosen for its exceptional transconductance and linearity, operates in tandem with a massive custom step-down transformer. This provides a robust, low-impedance signal capable of driving any preamplifier with commanding authority and unforced dynamic swings. The current-to-voltage conversion is handled by another proprietary wideband transformer rather than standard solid-state circuitry. This direct, uncompromising signal path allows the immense parallel converter array to breathe, preserving the most delicate micro-details and the full spatial decay of acoustic instruments.
Absolute Signal Isolation

Chapter 03

Absolute Signal Isolation

Digital playback is highly susceptible to jitter and power-born interference, challenges that the Kassandra Signature addresses with profound isolation techniques. A pseudo-battery system acts as a strict barrier, isolating all analogue stages from the vagaries of the main power grid. Furthermore, the two-chassis footprint ensures that the massive power transformers cannot induce magnetic interference into the sensitive digital core. The master clock is implemented as an internal super-clock, featuring its own triple-regulated supply to eradicate jitter at the exact point of conversion. Across the digital boards, dozens of discrete tuned filters and ultra-low-noise regulators ensure the decoding process remains completely untainted by external noise, allowing the music to emerge from a remarkably silent background.
