Symphonia Aeris

Uncompromising zero-diffraction horn architecture delivering true full-spectrum acoustic realism.

The Symphonia Aeris represents a profound evolution in Aries Cerat’s acoustic engineering, standing as a definitive expression of their flagship horn architecture. Designed to solve the inherent flaws of traditional horn theory, this loudspeaker moves beyond conventional folded structures and conical flares. By maintaining a constant curvature through 360-degree bullet-shaped horns, the Aeris operates as a flawless acoustic impedance transformer, free from the mechanical losses or frequency ripples that plague typical designs. At the core of the speaker’s performance is its astonishing time-domain accuracy. A custom RAAL ribbon tweeter is loaded into a unique zero-diffraction horn, seamlessly integrating with a massive four-inch titanium midrange driver backed by an 11-kilogram magnetic motor. This array eliminates the secondary sound emissions and transient smearing commonly known as horn shout, perfectly bridging the gap between compression-driver authority and ribbon-transducer delicacy. Anchoring the system is a 3.3-metre folded tractrix bass horn crafted from stacked, CNC-machined plywood. This immensely rigid structure easily withstands extreme internal acoustic pressures, producing deep, visceral bass with vanishingly low resonance. Hand-finished in the exclusive Aeris treatments, featuring striking metallic or liquid copper horns against natural wood veneers, this speaker is both a visual masterpiece and an uncompromising reference transducer.

Key Features

01

Zero-Diffraction Solid Wood Horns

Custom 360-degree flares completely eliminate diffraction-induced colouration and transient smearing across the mid and high frequencies.

02

3.3m Tractrix Bass Horn

Constructed from vertically stacked, CNC-carved plywood sheets for ten times the stiffness of conical designs, ensuring deep bass without cabinet resonance.

03

Modified RAAL Ribbon Tweeter

A true aluminium foil transducer loaded into a custom horn to combine delicate high-frequency resolution with extreme dynamic capability.

04

4-Inch Titanium Midrange

Driven by an oversized 11kg magnetic motor and adjustable via a multi-tap transformer for precise room acoustic integration.

05

Constant Group Delay Crossovers

External proprietary filter networks shape phase and attenuation to deliver near-perfect time-domain alignment across all three drivers.

Engineering Philosophy

Chapter 01

Engineering Philosophy

The Symphonia Aeris was born from a rigorous research project aimed at eliminating diffraction, the secondary sound emission responsible for the characteristic horn sound. By employing advanced modelling, Aries Cerat developed 360-degree, constant-curvature flares. This true tractrix geometry ensures that the speaker converts electromagnetic energy to sound without the time-domain smearing or colourations inherent to standard flat-panel folded designs.
Build & Construction

Chapter 02

Build & Construction

Constructing a horn capable of withstanding massive internal acoustic pressure requires extraordinary structural integrity. The 3.3-metre bass horn uses thick, vertically stacked sheets of CNC-carved plywood, providing ten times the stiffness of a standard folded horn. The midrange and treble flares are similarly uncompromising, machined from solid blocks of poplar plywood for superior strength-to-weight ratio and acoustic damping. The exclusive Aeris editions elevate this construction further with striking bronze metallic or liquid copper finishes.
Sonic Signature

Chapter 03

Sonic Signature

The Aeris delivers a listening experience defined by its complete lack of a sonic footprint. It avoids the boxy or aggressive qualities of typical high-efficiency speakers, presenting a vast, holographic soundstage that is fluid, lightning-fast, and entirely coherent. With 101dB sensitivity, it effortlessly reproduces the explosive dynamics and physical weight of a live performance while retaining the delicate micro-dynamic resolution expected of a reference ribbon transducer.
