Auris II

A reference modular line stage delivering zero-feedback parallel single-ended triode purity.

The Auris II stands as a central pillar within Ayon Audio's acclaimed line-stage hierarchy, offering a modular framework engineered for the modern purist. Hand-assembled in Austria, this component builds upon a highly refined electronic layout that operates with absolute zero negative feedback of any kind. By keeping the topology free from tone-sapping followers, op-amps, or solid-state buffers, it guards the delicate micro-dynamics of the signal from temporal compression and phase shifting. Positioned globally as a versatile reference hub, the Auris II relies on an exclusive, low-impedance parallel single-ended configuration driven by four high-transconductance 6H30 triodes. To accommodate diverse system architectures, Ayon integrates a user-switchable line output gain matrix adjusting between 0dB and +6dB. This mechanical adaptability provides an optimized, distortion-free voltage match regardless of whether it is driving heavy valve monoblocks or complex solid-state stereo power amplifiers. Sonically, the Auris II is distinguished by its exceptionally vivid, structurally dense presentation and a three-dimensional soundstage of uncanny depth. It moves far past the colored, overly syrupy warmth of vintage tube pre-amplifiers, resolving transients with razor-sharp speed and full-bodied low-frequency authority. The noise floor remains incredibly dark, establishing an organic, relaxed atmosphere where natural acoustic layers and studio venue cues can breathe independently.

Key Features

01

Purist 6H30 Triode Gain Topology

Features a high-current, low-impedance parallel single-ended gain layout utilizing four hand-matched 6H30 vacuum tubes to maximize signal propagation linearity.

02

Absolute Zero Feedback Architecture

Operates with 0dB of global or local negative feedback, eliminating internal phase shifts and temporal blurring to preserve organic tone density.

03

Tube Rectified Power Infrastructure

Deploys an advanced tube-regulated power supply with isolated dual chokes to secure total electrical segregation between the sensitive input grids and high-voltage output stages.

04

Dual Grounding & Star Earth System

Incorporates a proprietary central one-point star earth layout alongside a switchable rear dual-ground loop system to reject incoming AC line noise and transformer hash.

05

Switchable Line Output Gain

Provides a user-selectable gain switch on the rear chassis, permitting immediate calibration between 0dB and +6dB for ideal component level integration.

06

Premium Material Architecture

Utilizes a gold-plated industrial-grade PCB layout alongside beryllium-copper spring socket pins, Swiss-made ELMA input selectors, and a custom four-channel volume matrix.

The Shortest Signal Philosophy

Chapter 01

The Shortest Signal Philosophy

The primary design imperative of the Auris II is the absolute reduction of the electronic path. Ayon engineers believe that every additional active stage or auxiliary wire loop introduces phase rotation, component noise, and cumulative signal erosion. On the heavy gold-plated main board, copper trace runs are kept to the barest minimum length, ensuring the audio path relies on a singular gain stage that feeds just one ultra-high-speed coupling capacitor at the final output junction.
Isolated Power Engineering

Chapter 02

Isolated Power Engineering

To completely isolate the fragile audio signal from the destructive fields of internal AC mains distribution, the Auris II incorporates an ultra-shielded, low-noise power transformer that is mechanically damped and isolated inside an independent RFI/EMI protective housing. Backed by high-capacitance electrolytic energy storage reserves and regulated DC filament supplies with integrated soft-start protection, this high-speed power network reacts instantaneously to musical transients while actively protecting and extending the operational lifespan of the vacuum tubes.
Chassis Integrity & Interface

Chapter 03

Chassis Integrity & Interface

The physical foundation of the pre-amplifier consists of a heavy, non-magnetic chassis constructed from high-grade brushed and anodized aluminum panels. This specific mechanical assembly is optimized for enhanced heat ventilation and effective resonance absorption via custom aluminum isolation feet. The rear panel provides premium interface hardware for demanding installations, including high-grade gas-sealed relays placed near the input jacks, four line-level RCA terminals, two balanced Neutrik XLR inputs, and fully isolated internal hookup wiring.
