AMELIA

Elegant Italian floorstanding precision delivering deep, natural, and immersive sound.

The Amelia stands as a graceful synthesis of aeronautical inspiration and Italian acoustic heritage. As a slim, 3-way floorstanding tower, it is designed to vanish into the room, creating an expansive and realistic soundstage that renders music with startling transparency and emotional weight. At its heart lies Chario’s signature reversed driver configuration, which positions the tweeter below the midrange to optimise phase coherence and control room interactions. This design ensures that the listener receives a direct, uncoloured performance, free from the acoustic artifacts that often compromise traditional floorstanding speakers. The sonic signature is defined by its remarkable articulation and dynamic depth. By utilising a downward-firing subwoofer and rear-mounted woofer alongside proprietary Rohacell drivers, the Amelia produces bass that is taut, authoritative, and impressively extended. The result is a sound that remains velvety and engaging, providing a natural depiction of vocals and instruments that remains compelling through the most demanding sessions.

Key Features

01

3-way reversed array

Positions drivers in a specific vertical geometry to improve phase alignment and mitigate floor-bounce interference.

02

NRS down-fire technology

Utilises a downward-firing port and subwoofer to enhance low-frequency extension while maintaining structural cleanliness.

03

Rohacell full-apex drivers

Employs high-rigidity structural foam cones to ensure pistonic movement and minimise colouration in the midrange and bass.

04

T38 waveguide tweeter

A 38mm soft-dome design that provides a smooth, fatigue-free high-frequency response with excellent dispersion characteristics.

05

Solid walnut construction

Handcrafted side panels using aged Italian walnut to provide a mass-loaded, inert enclosure that reduces cabinet resonance.

Chapter 01

Acoustic Engineering

The Amelia employs a sophisticated 3-way crossover with a 4th-order slope, ensuring seamless integration between the T38 waveguide tweeter and the Rohacell bass-midrange drivers. By strategically placing the subwoofer at the base and a secondary woofer on the rear panel, the design manages internal pressure to deliver deep, clean bass without the turbulent port noise common in compact towers.

Chapter 02

Italian Craftsmanship

Each pair of Amelia loudspeakers is handcrafted near Milan, where artisans select and join solid walnut boards to create a structure that is as rigid as it is beautiful. This meticulous manufacturing process ensures that every cabinet possesses the damping properties necessary to support the high-resolution drivers, resulting in a cabinet that remains silent and neutral even at high volumes.

Chapter 03

Listening Notes

The Amelia is designed for the listener who values transparency and natural timbre. It excels at portraying the space between instruments and provides a tactile, present midrange that brings vocal performances to life. With its wide dispersion and stable imaging, it remains an ideal choice for those seeking a highly coherent, emotionally involving musical event in a domestic listening space.
