NOBILE
Italian craftsmanship meets acoustic precision in a refined, high-performance monitor.
The Nobile stands as a masterful synthesis of Chario’s artisanal heritage and rigorous psychoacoustic engineering. Designed to disappear into the music, this two-way monitor leverages a sophisticated reversed driver configuration to provide exceptional phase coherence and a holographic soundstage that remains stable across varied domestic environments.
Positioned as the reference monitor within the Aviator line, the Nobile offers a performance that is both resolute and deeply musical. By lowering the crossover point to 1180Hz, it allows the large T38 waveguide tweeter to handle a broader portion of the midrange, resulting in a seamless, velvety integration that eliminates the fatigue often associated with high-frequency reproduction.
Sonically, the speaker is characterised by its impressive dynamic capacity and tonal balance. It provides deep, articulate bass that remains taut and controlled, complemented by a transparent midrange and extended, natural highs. Whether employed in a critical studio monitoring role or a premium home audio system, the Nobile delivers an immersive, unforced realism that respects the intent of the original recording.
Key Features
01
Reversed vertical array
This configuration places the tweeter below the woofer to optimise phase coherence and improve the listener's perception of the midrange.
02
T38 waveguide tweeter
A 38mm soft dome tweeter designed for low-distortion performance, allowing for a remarkably low crossover frequency of 1180Hz.
03
Rohacell full-apex woofer
A 165mm driver featuring a rigid, lightweight structural foam cone and neodymium motor for precise, piston-like bass response.
04
Solid walnut construction
Handcrafted in Italy using resonant-controlled solid walnut and high-density fibreboard to ensure structural rigidity and acoustic stability.
Chapter 01
Acoustic Engineering
The Nobile utilises a downward-firing port system designed to manage high internal reflex pressures. By meticulously controlling airflow, the design prevents audible turbulence even during demanding passages, ensuring the bass remains articulate and round without the bloom typical of less refined ported speakers.
Chapter 02
Italian Artistry
Each Nobile cabinet is hand-assembled near Milan, reflecting a dedication to traditional woodworking. The use of massive Italian walnut is not merely aesthetic; the material is selected for its natural damping properties, which help to mitigate unwanted vibrations and ensure the enclosure remains a silent partner to the drivers.
Chapter 03
Listening Notes
The Nobile is defined by its ability to project a rich, full-bodied sound that feels larger than its dimensions suggest. It rewards the listener with a velvety upper register and a sense of timing that makes acoustic instruments and vocals sound exceptionally present, providing a fatigue-free experience that invites long-term engagement with your music collection.
