Stabi S

Minimalist design delivering high-mass stability and sonic purity.

The Kuzma Stabi S is a masterclass in minimalist engineering, proving that exceptional performance can be achieved through structural simplicity. By abandoning the traditional plinth in favour of a design based on solid brass rods, the Stabi S effectively isolates the platter and tonearm from environmental vibrations, creating a remarkably quiet background. Positioned as the entry point into the Kuzma Stabi line, this turntable delivers the core performance characteristics that define the brand. It is a no-frills, robust platform designed for those who prioritise mechanical integrity and sonic transparency over complex, often resonant, chassis designs. Sonically, the Stabi S is defined by its speed, rhythmic drive, and impressive bass authority. The solid brass construction provides a natural damping effect that results in a clean, open soundstage, allowing the listener to perceive the finest details of the recording with clarity and focus.

Key Features

01

Solid brass construction

The main chassis is machined from solid brass rods, providing immense mass, rigidity, and inherent damping properties.

02

The simple, non-resonant structure eliminates the colouration often associated with traditional wooden or composite plinths.

03

Belt-drive system

A precision-engineered motor and belt drive ensure constant, accurate platter speed for consistent pitch.

Engineering Vision

Chapter 01

Engineering Vision

The Stabi S was developed to solve the problem of chassis resonance at a manageable price and size. Kuzma's approach was to remove the plinth entirely, using the mass of solid brass to create a structure that is both compact and incredibly difficult to excite, thereby keeping the stylus perfectly focused in the groove.
Build and Construction

Chapter 02

Build and Construction

Every part of the Stabi S is machined to high tolerances. The simplicity of the design belies the complexity of its construction, where the alignment of the brass rods and the precision of the platter bearing create a system of extreme longevity and reliability.
Listening Experience

Chapter 03

Listening Experience

Listeners often praise the Stabi S for its energetic, dynamic presentation. It avoids the soft, overly warm character of many entry-level turntables, opting instead for a sound that is tight, punchy, and highly detailed, making it an ideal platform for high-resolution cartridges.
