Windsor
Commanding sub-bass authority for the most demanding high-fidelity and cinema systems.
The Windsor stands at the pinnacle of the MJ Acoustics Master Class series, representing an uncompromising approach to low-frequency reproduction. Designed for the dedicated enthusiast, this system is not merely about output; it is about the authoritative, textured, and nuanced rendering of the lowest octaves, ensuring that the true scale of a performance is captured with absolute fidelity.
At the heart of this behemoth are two custom-developed 300mm ultra-long-throw drivers, output-matched and driven by a massive 750-watt Class A/B MOSFET amplifier. This sophisticated dual-amplifier configuration provides the high current and reservoir capacity necessary to handle the most demanding dynamic shifts without latency, maintaining perfect control over the moving mass.
Crafted from acoustically inert, heavy-gauge MDF and supported by a solid isolation plinth, the cabinet is a masterclass in structural integrity. By eliminating resonant colouration, the Windsor allows the drivers to translate high-pressure internal movements into pure, articulate sound. It is a disciplined, confident performer that remains unobtrusive until the demands of the recording require its significant power, at which point it delivers with effortless poise.
Key Features
01
Dual Driver Configuration
Features twin 300mm ultra-long-throw drivers with mass-balanced cone assemblies for immense power and transient speed.
02
D.I.P. Electronics
Utilises Dynamic Intelligent Protection and closed-loop independent toroidal power supplies to maintain signal integrity under extreme demand.
03
Precision Analogue Processing
Retains a pure analogue signal path to eliminate the latency and conversion artefacts associated with digital signal processing.
04
Advanced Microprocessor Control
Provides 1Hz crossover increments and 1dB gain steps, all configurable via the MJ Smart Remote app for perfect room integration.
Chapter 01
Engineering Philosophy
The Windsor is engineered to act as a seamless extension of the main loudspeaker array rather than an independent sound source. By using a high-impedance high-level input, it mirrors the signal sent to your main speakers, ensuring perfect phase coherence and timing across the entire frequency range.
Chapter 02
Build and Materials
Constructed with 18mm and 25mm acoustically inert, veneer-balanced MDF and lined with specialised acoustic wadding, the cabinet is designed to be completely vibration-free. The system sits on a 36mm solid isolation plinth, providing the stability required to handle the seismic energy produced by its dual-driver array.
Chapter 03
Sonic Signature
The Windsor is characterised by its ability to resolve the lowest frequencies with startling realism. It provides a tactile, room-pressurising foundation that adds weight and scale to high-end music and film soundtracks alike, all while maintaining the agility to stop and start instantaneously with the music.
