Sonora

A compact floorstanding system delivering expansive scale and crystalline acoustic detail.

The Sonora serves as the entry point into the Serenity line, embodying the same rigorous design principles as our flagship systems in a more accessible, room-friendly form. It is engineered for those who desire the hallmark PEAK sound—clarity, coherence, and structural honesty—without the physical footprint of our larger models. Despite its compact dimensions, the Sonora projects a soundstage of impressive depth and width. The integration between the bespoke high-frequency transducer and the mid-bass driver is seamless, resulting in a presentation that is both technically precise and emotionally involving. Sonically, the Sonora is defined by its speed and tonal accuracy. It possesses a taut, well-defined bass response that provides a solid foundation for the music, while the midrange remains open, natural, and free from the boxiness often associated with loudspeakers of this size. It is a system that invites long-term listening sessions by removing the mechanical fatigue inherent in lesser designs.

Key Features

01

Precision Damped Cabinet

The enclosure uses a multi-layered sandwich construction of HDF and wood to minimise structural resonance and colouration.

02

PLIC Crossover Topology

Our proprietary crossover design ensures a flat impedance curve, allowing for stable and efficient performance with a wide range of amplifiers.

03

Custom Driver Array

The dedicated mid-bass and high-frequency units are phase-aligned to ensure a coherent and focused wavefront at the listening position.

04

Mechanical Decoupling

Adjustable stainless-steel feet with integrated ceramic bearings isolate the cabinet from floor vibrations.

Design Philosophy

Chapter 01

Design Philosophy

The Sonora is built on the belief that a loudspeaker should be as structurally silent as possible. By employing a narrow, rigid cabinet geometry and specific internal bracing, we ensure that the drivers operate in a controlled environment, free from the interference of stored energy. This approach allows the Sonora to communicate the fine details and textures of a recording with remarkable accuracy.
Artisanal Build

Chapter 02

Artisanal Build

Every Sonora cabinet is hand-assembled in our Danish workshop, utilising a precise combination of hardwood and acrylic elements. This material choice is not purely aesthetic; the different densities of these materials provide natural, broad-spectrum damping. The internal point-to-point wired crossover is meticulously placed to avoid microphonic pickup, ensuring the electrical signal remains as pure as possible.
Listening Notes

Chapter 03

Listening Notes

When positioned correctly, the Sonora disappears from the room. It excels in the reproduction of transient detail, making it an excellent choice for listeners who value rhythmic snap and the clear definition of acoustic instruments. While it maintains a compact presence, its ability to load a room with natural, dynamic sound is disproportionate to its size, making it a highly effective solution for diverse listening environments.
