SunFyre

Technical mastery engineered for a profound emotional connection to music.

The SunFyre emerges as a masterful expression of acoustic design, balancing immense physical scale with extraordinary sonic agility. Its commanding silhouette honours the iconic lineage of the Peak Dragon Legacy, translating that flagship performance into a slightly more compact yet equally uncompromising form. Within the Serenity line, the SunFyre stands as a testament to collaborative engineering. The combined expertise of Wilfried Ehrenholz, Karl-Heinz Fink, and Per Christoffersen has yielded a loudspeaker that controls resonance with absolute authority, ensuring every note is rendered with start-stop precision. Sonically, the SunFyre reveals the soul of a recording without resorting to clinical sterility. Voices gain a natural, dimensional presence, whilst the meticulously controlled dispersion of the driver array unravels complex orchestral arrangements into distinct, coherent layers. It offers a listening experience defined by warmth, effortless dynamics, and an inviting musicality that never fatigues.

Key Features

01

Custom Drive Units

Bespoke Scan-Speak and Audio Technology drivers work in a mid-tweeter-mid configuration for seamless phase response and precise vertical dispersion.

02

Sand-Encased Chambers

Both the tweeter chamber and the point-to-point isolated crossover are completely encased in sand to eliminate microphony and preserve absolute bass control.

03

Solid Hardwood Construction

The outer cabinet uses meticulously hand-joined solid Danish hardwood, entirely avoiding veneers and spray finishes for a timeless aesthetic.

04

Peak Linear Impedance Control

The proprietary crossover network presents an absolutely flat four-ohm load, making the loudspeaker exceptionally accommodating to a wide variety of amplifiers.

05

Dynamic Damping Carcass

The internal structure features three layers of high-density fibreboard bonded with a hybrid epoxy that converts acoustic energy directly into heat.

Design & Philosophy

Chapter 01

Design & Philosophy

The SunFyre was conceived to bridge the gap between absolute analytical precision and human musicality. By drawing upon the developmental leaps made during the creation of the Dragon Legacy, Peak has engineered a loudspeaker that avoids the common pitfalls of extreme audio design. There is no artificial treble lift to simulate detail, nor is there exaggerated mid-bass to force warmth. Instead, the design team focused on drastically lowering the noise floor and eliminating cabinet colouration, allowing the genuine timbre of instruments to surface naturally.
Build & Materials

Chapter 02

Build & Materials

Constructing a single SunFyre is an eight-week process that relies heavily on traditional Danish cabinet-making skills. The massive structure comprises five individual enclosures featuring zero parallel lines, effectively banishing internal standing waves. The foundation is equally uncompromising, employing a 36-millimetre triple-layer bottom plate coupled to custom steel feet with internal ball bearings, ensuring the entire mass is completely decoupled from the listening room floor.
Sonic Signature

Chapter 03

Sonic Signature

Listening to the SunFyre is an exercise in discovering micro-details that were previously masked by enclosure resonance and driver distortion. The topology creates a holographic soundstage that remains stable even during explosive dynamic shifts. Because the impedance curve is ruler-flat, amplifiers are never strained, resulting in a presentation that feels remarkably relaxed yet capable of astonishing speed and concussive low-frequency impact when the recording demands it.
