Anti-Static Brush
Ultra-fine corebrid microfibres neutralize static and clear record grooves simultaneously.
Static electricity remains the primary cause of background noise during vinyl playback, pulling airborne dust into micro-grooves while inducing sharp clicks. Withdrawing a record from its sleeve can generate static charges ranging from 3,000 to over 20,000 volts. The Analog Relax Anti-Static Brush solves this fundamental issue at the source, offering a dry maintenance solution that restores quiet record surfaces.
Positioned as the core vinyl maintenance tool within Analog Relax's accessory lineup, this brush features ultra-fine 0.03 mm antistatic microfibres—substantially finer than a standard 0.05 mm record groove. As the soft bristles touch the spinning vinyl, they initiate a continuous corona discharge that neutralizes between 70 and 80 percent of static electricity while lifting microscopic debris.
Hand-finished by traditional Japanese Kumano brush craftsmen, the brush glides smoothly without scratching delicate vinyl surfaces. By stripping away static fields and micro-dust, it allows stylus tips to track cleanly, revealing quiet backgrounds, precise transient detail, and uncolored analog warmth.
Key Features
01
0.03 mm Corebrid Microfibres
Utilises specialized Mitsubishi Corebrid antistatic acrylic fibres thinner than a record groove to sweep out microscopic dust particles.
02
Corona Discharge Static Removal
Neutralises 70 to 80 percent of static voltage on contact via continuous corona discharge without needing chemical sprays or liquids.
03
Kumano Artisan Handcrafting
Hand-assembled by traditional Japanese brush makers in Kumano, ensuring soft fibre tips that protect delicate record grooves from scratching.
04
Microscopic Surface Indentations
Fibres feature textured surface indentations designed to trap and lift fine granular dust and lint from deep inside the groove walls.

Chapter 01
The Physics of Static Elimination
Friction between an LP disc and its inner sleeve creates intense electrostatic charge through friction and peeling. This static field attracts floating airborne dust straight into the grooves, causing severe pops and surface noise during playback.
Rather than pushing dust deeper into the groove like traditional velvet pads, the Analog Relax Anti-Static Brush dissipates voltage through corona discharge, releasing trapped particles so they can be swept away easily.

Chapter 02
Artisanal Craftsmanship & Care
Every record brush is hand-assembled in Kumano, Japan—a region world-famous for crafting fine calligraphy and cosmetic brushes. The soft antistatic fibres are bound into a lightweight natural wooden handle designed for comfortable balance across spinning records.
Because the fibres are soft and low in conductivity, the brush cleans thoroughly without leaving chemical residues or risking electrical short-circuits near delicate turntable setups.
