Incito S

An uncompromised transformer-coupled preamplifier featuring absolute zero-feedback amplification and TVC attenuation.

At the heart of the Incito S beats a zero-feedback power gain stage that operates as a miniature single-ended triode amplifier. Rather than employing complex multi-stage circuits, Aries Cerat utilises a transformer-coupled super-triode architecture featuring the ultra-high transconductance E280F tube. This approach allows for massive voltage swings that are stepped down to provide immense current delivery, keeping transistor-like noise figures whilst preserving the vital dynamic energy of the source. Positioned above the standard Incito, the 'S' designation brings critical advancements from the flagship Impera series. The most significant upgrade is the implementation of a bespoke Transformer Volume Control (TVC) system, which replaces traditional resistor attenuation to ensure absolute signal transparency at any listening level. Furthermore, all mains transformers and chokes have been relocated to a dedicated external chassis, dropping the noise floor well below -110dB. Sonically, the Incito S offers a rare equilibrium between differing amplification philosophies. It presents the dense, three-dimensional textures, harmonic richness, and organic fluidity expected from elite tube designs, yet controls the lower frequencies with startling grip and articulation. The presentation is expansive and immensely resolving, projecting a beautifully organised soundstage that brings profound emotional involvement to any recording without a hint of listener fatigue.

Key Features

01

Transformer Volume Control (TVC)

Employs the same sophisticated TVC apparatus found in the flagship Impera series, avoiding the dynamic compression and coloration of resistor-based attenuation.

02

Zero-Feedback Gain Stage

Operates as a small single-ended triode amplifier utilising a single Siemens E280F super tube per channel to create the most direct signal path possible.

03

Switchable Step-Down Transformer

A bespoke output transformer provides reconfigurable secondary windings, allowing users to manually select between 20dB and 14dB of maximum gain.

04

Isolated External Power Supply

Banishes the power transformer to a separate chassis with a permanent umbilical cord, utilising a 5AR4 rectifier and separate double-pi filtering per channel.

05

Intuitive Bias Calibration

Features proprietary AC Link technology and a built-in analogue meter, allowing listeners to monitor and adjust tube bias on the fly via dual control knobs.

Design & Philosophy

Chapter 01

Design & Philosophy

The Incito S was born from the desire to create the simplest possible amplification circuit without sacrificing measured performance. By treating the line stage as a small power amplifier, Aries Cerat avoids the sonic degradation typical of multi-stage preamplifiers. The use of a very high transconductance pentode, wired as an enhanced triode and loaded with a bespoke output transformer, completely eliminates the need for negative feedback.
Attenuation & Isolation

Chapter 02

Attenuation & Isolation

Crucial to the silent background of the Incito S is its robust, passively filtered external power architecture. Moving the high-current power transformer to a secondary chassis eliminates mechanical and electrical interference. Simultaneously, the audio signal is routed through a premium Transformer Volume Control rather than a standard potentiometer, ensuring that delicate micro-dynamics are perfectly preserved regardless of the chosen listening volume.
Sonic Signature

Chapter 03

Sonic Signature

Reviewers and listeners consistently note the ability of the Incito S to combine the best attributes of differing technologies. It delivers the fast, articulate, and incisive bass traditionally associated with solid-state preamplifiers, whilst providing the organic, free-flowing midrange and dense, dimensional treble that only world-class single-ended tube designs can achieve. The resulting presentation is exceptionally spacious and unforced.
